Did anyone see Watchdog last night, and the Makowski story from the beginning to end?

Couldn't help but to cringe at the secret filming and I am sure that 'proper' locksmiths were doing the same up and down the country. Hopefully, apart from his 4 year jail sentence (will only serve around two though), he will also have all of his assets seized from him, all gained from his fraudulent activities.

I wonder if he complained about the state of his door after the police used the Big red key?

He finally got what was coming to him, though it's a pity as you say, that he'll only do two in real terms. As for his door, I think he'll find the one he's behind now is rather more substantial! Also a pity that he's only restricted from directorship of a company for 5 years, it should be for life, along with removal of his driving licence. If he goes back into locksmithing of any kind, he'll not make any money having to use public transport or hiring a chauffeur.

Good riddance to the arrogant idiot!

Made me laugh when the guy from trading standards said that most of the reciepts they found at his home were for drill bits!

That's probably why he charged so much it's cheaper to learn to pick.

Just watched it on iplayer. It always amazes me that people like him seem to get loads of work and would probably make a decent living without ripping people off. Jay will  you give me a bigger discount on drill bits (I  think  I am going to buy a pallet load )

This guy was advertised in so many places makeing him sound local to all he conned,

Picnfix,

You are right there, he could of earned a tidy wage doing it the right way, it did make me laugh though because the Police found loads of receipts for drill bits.

How on earth can you charge over a grand for a job,  plain wrong, the guy should of just refused to pay.
