I am thinking of getting a dimple foil impression tool. Has anyone tried one and are they any good?
I would welcome any views

Depends what locks you are looking at to open?

At the moment I would say picking dimple locks is my weakest area, just due to lack of practice and experience on them. In my area apart from Schools and some other commercial buildings 90% to 95% of the locks are just standard euro cylinders.
My thoughts were to get some basic tools together and build my competence/confidence on them by mastering a range of methods of opening them. Ie with the standard euros I can usual open them with a manual pick gun in a few minutes but if I am struggling it’s comforting to know I have that cracking set of bump keys you made for me in reserve. Seeing the video of this tool in action I was just trying to decide if it was worth adding to my tool list

The more you can add to your armoury, the better, so it could be a back-up if picking fails and the kit (dependent on which one) will suit the lock at hand?
I would probably go for the standard one, not the Iseo or full set, and see how they go.
