Got my 1st job on a wooden patio door fitted with a Maco multi point lock. The problem seems to point to the mechanism.

When you push the handle down it stays down, then when you lock the euro (ISEO) and unlock it you have to push the handle down several times and hard for the bolt to return.

The makings on the strip is Maco 2008 and on the lock are 5STK56291. The latch has Vs top and bottom, and is approx 230mm x 50mm with a slot at the top.

My question is, where can I find a replacement case, does it come with the strips on or do I have to transfer them. Where do you take measurements from to get the right size, and finally what would be the average price for the mech and fitting for the customer.

Customer is in no hurry and is happy for me to do the job, please can anybody help me with this problem.

Have tried to put a picture on but somehow technophobia has set in.

Check the handles and spindle for wear as well. The mech could be okay?
