I think you will need the Disc Detainer Pick for this one, i think Jay sells them.

Keep at it Dean. Once you get the knack of what to feel for you'll have no problem opening these and other Abloy type locks the pick will fit.

this is the problem i have as the army issue these padlocks, they cant be picked by the disc detainer pick as this will only pick the copies like blackspur and montesory.

chris belcher has told me that you need to make a pick like a two in one, i think a cot down key and a groove for a small wire will do it. the key needs to be cut down the long length

Many can't be opened with these picks? When Falle Safe produced their pick Abus knew this and shot him in the bo***x and made a slight change to the workings of their locks, hence making the pick useless on new locks!

The Disc detainer picks you can get (pictured above in Kirks post) are for Abloy 'type' locks, blackspur, montary etc. Stu is correct that a pick can be made for them, something I have never done though so perhaps a challange for one of you guys?

Is that the lock that used to have the 'disc number' on the back of each detainer, and it could be decoded, by using blu-tak to get an impression of the disc numbers?

Would the 'much-harder-to-find' 'Bottom tensioning Disk Detainer Pick' work on these? That would work in a similar way to a 2-in-1 really, wouldn 't it?

OAH: Thats what they changed, you can't get tension onto the bottom disc anymore as they adapted the lock, hence making the pick useless on these locks.
