LOL that was some lock Phil!

I'd also like to add my thanks to Jay, for putting on a great session! I really enjoyed it, and it was good to meet with such a friendly, like-minded group, as well as putting faces to the Avatars LOL.

I think Stuart deserves a medal for getting my Corbin open, and I'll be knocking up some Corbin Bump keys with different heights tomorrow, and then practice, practice, practice! LOL.

Many thanks once again.

Thanks to everyone who attended at the weekend, it was good to put some new faces to names, and also appreciate the distances that some travelled to get down to us.

No real set structure to meeting but a few different locks come up and a quick look at pick wires for curtain locks. As normal though, and always the way when doing a demo, my Union BS took a little while to pick! Though the wires were a little rough with a bit of time tweaking and tidying them up they do work well on many locks with curtains. Also a good back up tool.

Overall a good meet which I hope you found useful. I will post details as normal of the next meeting when a date is arranged.

P.S: Everyone was welcome to take the curtain wires away with them but unfortunatley the Thumb-turns weren't. If possible, any chance I could get some back?

I've just read your post on the meeting Jay.  I am disgusted that the thumb turners seem to grow their own legs and walk out of your door after you were so generous with knowledge and information and your time and skills that you passed on to us.  I sincerely hope these thumb turners sprout wings and decide to fly back to you.  I am of no doubt that this must have been a mistake and hope that the decent thing is done and they are returned to you asap.  All the best.  007 Dan.

@Daniel: Easy enough to do by mistake, one person has already got in touch to let me know they accidently took one with them. The turns are only rough ones so not to big a deal. Just be nice to know where the others went?

Jay, Just to say that I didn't take a thumb turner...so unfortunately can't help you on that one...however, I really hope people do the decent thing and return them. Have you sent a message to each person who attended just to askif they happened to have taken one in error? Well, I suppose you haven't because I didn't receive a message myself and only came across these postings by accident!!! Silly me! Anyway...just an idea...if you ask everyone who attended then perhaps they will reappear! I hope so anyway. Thank you for the session, it was really helpful and since then I've been practising my lock opening techniques. Please do let me know when the next one is to be held as I am keen to attend.

Hi Jay, C'mon guys you are entering into an industry with a cloak and mistry element of techniques used  and trust. We all make mistakes, but remember a thief will eventually get caught, a liar will get you hung. The Training Courses will increase in price if this continues and eventually the supplier of the training will get the ache with the efforts, and go back to the why bother teaching others mentality.

Even at KFC you pay for takeaway.

I'm hoping to make it to the next meeting too. Really enjoyed the last one. I didn't take any thumbturns either, - in fact I never got around to making the pick wires, because I was so busy nattering to everyone and picking up loads of useful tips and advice. I hope the weather will be as nice as it was last time too.

I have absolutley no doubt that the turns were took by mistake so it's really not a problem, and perhaps because I mentioned it, it's made it hard to let me know.

The next meeting is on Saturday the 15th May @ 11am - 2pm. I will be sending out a newsletter at the weekend as well to let everyone know. If you will be attending don't forget to complete the meeting form in the members section.
